Hey there, peeps, my name is Markus. I’m a med student who has unexpectedly gotten himself knee-deep in the turbulent world of journalism. What can I say, I enjoy telling stories and love debunking fake news even more.

With thousands of articles under my belt – which mostly cover matters about medical science and fitness – I can proudly say I have grossed millions of online article reads so far, and counting!

Considering that my generation has basically grown up on the Internet

Writing opinion pieces, essays, as well as developing content marketing campaigns is something that kind of comes naturally to us. After all, if you can earn a few bucks by doing something that’s kind of imbibed in your DNA, I always say: why not?

We live in an age where a seamless and uninterrupted exchange of knowledge is the only way for us to go forward as a species. So if there is anything I can do to help, fact-check, or even just listen to your story, don’t hesitate to DM me or shoot me an email. We live in hectic times, people, but I firmly believe that confronting misinformation, bridging the technological gap between generations, and promoting green economies all start with a simple friend request.

Ever since I was a kid, I always gravitated towards medical sciences. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that I was born into a family of hardworking physicians, so topics like human anatomy, fitness, nutrition, and physiotherapy have been pretty much a staple at our dinner table. Today, these very same topics have grossed me over a million article reads online, which I couldn’t be more proud of.

As I matured (and being a snowflake Millennial that I am), I started living and breathing that parallel social media life, which ultimately led me to become a professional journalist. Why a journalist of all things?

Well, I don’t know if you have noticed, but there is a truckload of false information permeating the web nowadays – information that 99 percent of the time seems to go unchecked. And so I developed this undeniable urge to do something about it – a mission to fight against relentless BS using science-backed facts, and most importantly, relatable stories.

Now, I’m well aware that this sounds overly idealistic of me. I even felt like quitting at a certain point. Trust me, going against snake oil purveyors, sensationalist reporters, and self-proclaimed fitness gurus all at the same time often felt similar to Don Quixote charging at windmills. But my mom always used to say: “You can probably cheat your way through any college, but not med school. Here, human lives are at stake.”

And so, with due diligence, I continued writing product reviews, medical science reports, success and failure stories, interviews – all of which have presented me with opportunities to collaborate with some of the best in the business. For instance, even though I’m personally not a vegan, I got really close to the people here at Vegan Liftz who I feel have elevated the whole plant-based diet gig to a whole new level.

Ultimately, whether you need fact-checked information, want to come up with new and exciting projects, or just want to hear about the hottest fitness perks – I am your guy! I firmly believe genuine human stories are the connective tissue of our society. If you have a story to share, I’d be more than happy to write it.
